Wow! We have exciting news. You have just discovered the best sport in the world! Gymnastics is unparalleled in its benefits for children. The physical attributes of strength, power, agility, flexibility, balance, body and spatial awareness, and grace developed through gymnastics training leads to an overall fitness that cannot be matched. Further, children become more confident, learn to persevere, overcome fears, improve self-discipline, cultivate a love to learn, and meet challenges that make them feel successful. All attributes needed to become CHAMPIONS in life!

Lil' Champs (Preschool Gymnastics)

There is no better time to start developing a great self concept and positive learning attitude than during your child’s preschool years and our Lil’ Champs classes are designed to do just that! Our curriculum is designed on two key concepts, “movement” and “education”. We utilize fundamental gymnastics skills, positions, and terminology as tools to grow a successful love of learning within your child.

24 months - 40 months: ”Come on Mom! Come on Dad! It’s time for gymnastics!” That’s what you’ll hear when you enjoy sharing time discovering what your Lil’ Champ can do. This coed class with adult accompaniment focuses on age appropriate developmental movement. Students must turn 24 months prior to enrolling in class.

3-4 years: “Mom! Dad! Watch me!”  That’s all you will hear around the house as these “I can do it by myselfers” start to learn on their own. Students begin to understand their bodies’ capabilities and limitations through a variety of fun challenges as they gain their independence from Mom and Dad’s helping hands. Students must be a minimum of 40 months or by teacher recommendation.

Girls Gym Champs

The speed, power, and agility of the Vault, the courage, precision, and strength of the Uneven Bars, the grace, poise, and balance of the Balance Beam, the composure and execution of Floor Exercise, and the spatial awareness and control of Trampoline give our Gym Champs a great leap towards becoming Champions for life! Our Gym Champs Girls curriculum utilizes all four Olympic apparatus and Trampoline to promote the four fundamentals of fitness: cardiovascular exercise, strength, flexibility, and nutrition. Students are enrolled based upon school grade and skill level for an optimum learning experience. Students will progress at their own pace on individual skills, and learn to set personal goals with the use of our unique Train like a Champion poster reward system. Class curriculum is based on guidelines established by USA Gymnastics, the governing body for gymnastics in the United States, and our combined experience of over 55 years!

Boys Gym Champs

Gymnastics is the fundamental sport for all other sports. The self confidence, flexibility, and poise of Floor Exercise, the core mobility, rhythm and timing of Pommel Horse, the strength and control of Rings, the speed, agility, and power of Vault, the self esteem and focus of Parallel Bars, the manual dexterity and precision of Horizontal Bar, and the spatial awareness and control of Trampoline give our Gym Champs a great leap towards becoming Champions for life!.  Boys will find that the benefits of gymnastics can give them an advantage no matter what sport they participate in: football, wrestling, baseball, basketball, soccer, or any other sport, gymnastics can give them a great head start.

T N T (Trampoline and Tumbling)

Trampoline

Trampoline is an invaluable tool to increase spatial awareness, coordination, and muscle control for any sport! The fun of defying gravity disguises the exercise. This class is designed for students 2nd Grade and up.

Tumbling

Whether you’re a cheerleader on the lookout for the all important back handspring, standing back tuck, layout, or full, or you just awant a fun way to stay fit and learn cool tricks, then our coed Tumbling classes are for you!

Tumble 1: Introduces the basic foundations of tumbling: forward and backward rolls through bridge kickovers, cartwheels, and handstand forward rolls. No experience necessary! For students in Kindergarten and up.

Tumble 2: For students who have mastered the Tumble 1 curriculum and are ready to learn more! Students will progress through back walkovers, round offs, back extensions, and round-off back handsprings.

Tumble 3: For students who have mastered the Tumble 2 curriculum and are ready to develop round-off multiple back handsprings, back tucks layouts, front tumbling, front tucks, and more.

COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS PROGRAM

Our competitive girls and boys gymnastics teams follow the USA Gymnastics guidelines and are invitation only. Invitations are sent out each spring. We are looking forward to a great 09-10 competitive season.

SUPERVISED PRACTICE TIME (SPT)

FREE with enrollment!

Come in and have some extra practice fun! SPT is offered at two different age groups, Lil’ Champs & Gym Champs. Parents of Lil’ Champs MUST accompany children/siblings/guests. Any non-enrolled students may participate in the appropriate SPT for a fee. SPT is an excellent opportunity for students to get extra practice on skills they are learning in class. So bring a friend and show off what you have learned and what they are missing!

PRIVATE LESSONS

CTC offers private lessons for all member students, at every ability level. Private lessons are ideal for non-competitive gymnasts, competitive gymnasts, cheerleaders, divers, trampoline enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the benefits of gymnastics, cheer, and fitness. Privates are by appointment only. Please contact CTC for availability.
